Principal UX · Product Designer
I turn complex enterprise systems into clear, intuitive workflows.
I’m Sreeja Balachandran, a Principal Product Designer with 15 years of experience in enterprise software — most recently leading design across Oracle’s AI-driven marketing, customer data, and service products.
Here are four deep-dive case studies from my seven years at Oracle: designing an agentic marketing workspace, unifying a data orchestration platform, evolving a five-year campaign framework, and rethinking live supervisor coaching in a contact center.

Oracle Fusion Marketing · 2025–2026 · Program Advisor
Designing creation into an agentic workspace
Oracle’s early agentic framework was built for one-off analytical tasks, not authoring complex B2B campaigns. To bridge the gap between conversational AI and enterprise campaign execution, I designed two foundational patterns: a multi-step creation loop that keeps marketers in control, and an in-context artifact editor with persona-based brand governance. Both shipped in the core product and were adopted across Oracle’s agentic Redwood design system.
Shipped The first working proof of concept on the agentic framework in under a month; contributed the conversational creation loop and content-as-artifact editing patterns to Oracle’s global design system.

Oracle Fusion Marketing · 2020–2026 · Tactics, Automation Blocks, Program Types
Four ways to build a marketing program
Enterprise marketing platforms have traditionally forced a bad trade-off: an open canvas gives power users limitless flexibility, but terrifies everyday marketers who just need to launch a regional campaign. Over five years and four product generations, I led the UX architecture that replaced the blank canvas with a governed dual-role authoring system — creating the structured foundation that ultimately became the execution engine for Oracle’s AI agents.
Shipped Dual-role authoring flows, the unified rule builder, live runtime lifecycle states, Program Types, and the underlying validation engine.

Oracle Fusion CDP · 2025–2026 · Connections, Data Orchestrations, Webhooks
One orchestration model across twelve very different destinations
When Oracle migrated Oracle Unity into Fusion CDP, I led the UX architecture that replaced fragmented legacy export utilities with a unified orchestration framework. Instead of twelve bespoke workflows or an oversimplified generic form, I established a modular model that scaled seamlessly across 12 destinations, real-time event streams, and the Data Orchestration Advisor.
Shipped Twelve destinations across four integration families, on one unified model.

Oracle CX Service · 2024–2025 · Supervisor coaching & monitoring
Knowing when a supervisor should step in
I was asked to design live chat monitoring, coaching, and barge-in for contact center supervisors — a standard feature every competitor offered. Speaking with internal and customer supervisors revealed a critical gap: giving supervisors three ways to jump into a chat doesn’t help if they have no way to tell which of 20 live conversations is going wrong.
Outcome End-to-end designs handed off to Product & Engineering for Phase 1 MVP implementation, alongside a north-star alerting vision for the supervisor dashboard.

What next
What I’m looking for
A Principal or Lead Principal UX / Product Design role where I can shape product direction and stay closely involved in the design.
I’m especially drawn to work that helps people make better decisions, manage complexity with confidence, and collaborate effectively with intelligent systems. My next step is an opportunity with broader influence — leading agentic design across connected experiences, shaping how autonomous and assistive capabilities support user goals, strengthening collaboration across disciplines, and helping other designers grow.
The quickest way to see how I think is any one of the four case studies above. sreebala@gmail.com · more about me.
